The outdoor swimming pool is open during the summer season (June - September), while the indoor swimming pool and sauna are available during the winter season (October - May).

Minors may only stay in the hostel if accompanied by an adult either in a private room or in a dormitory if over 12 years of age. Under 12s cannot stay in a dormitory even if accompanied by adults.

Check-in is from 3pm. Check-out is until 10.00am. At check-in it is necessary to show the identity card for European citizens. For non-EU citizens it is necessary to show a passport. Photos or copies of documents will not be accepted.

Hostels in Florence

One of our major functions is to provide travelers on a limited budget with a relaxing and comfortable space in which to connect with others and plan their Florence adventures. We have a range of dormitories, which host between 4 and 8 people, as well as a dormitory specifically for women.     It is easy to reach from Santa Maria Novella, and it has great facilities like gym, terrace, pool, sauna, bar. and moreover the hostel is quite progressive in terms of waste, recycling, minimalism. I really like that it has all what you need and you don’t waste many garbage and so on. Stuff on the reception are always helping

    Plus Florence is a hostel in the city centre, frequented by young people and families because it is very welcoming, clean and well organised. I was really satisfied with the night spent at Plus Florence and I recommend it to everyone

    Just thinking of moving here;) 
    It was meant to be a romantic weekend, but it was much more. A stone's throw from the city center, the hotel is perfect and Florence is a dream.

    Not bad at all ☺. Florence is incredible: you go from a “trattoria” to an ancient palace in a blink. From the hostel you can do everything because it is like two steps away from the center.

    I must say that the trip to Florence was really pleasant. Despite work commitments, the stay was nice and comfortable (thanks to the central location) and in the evening I personally experienced the delights of Florentine cuisine.

The restaurant is welcoming and offers a wide choice of Italian and international dishes, from pasta to hamburgers. You can also enjoy a cocktail on the panoramic terrace or at the pool bar to make your Plus experience truly unforgettable.

How to get here

  • By plane

    FROM FLORENCE AIRPORT:
    Take the “Vola in Bus” shuttle bus (€ 6 one way, tickets available from the driver) to Santa Maria Novella train station, then follow the directions above. 

    The fastest way to reach us is via the Tramvia (Peretola stop); after 12 stops (Unità stop) get off and proceed on Piazza dell'Unità Italiana, turn right and take Largo Fratelli Alinari,. Continue up Via Nazionale, straight on up Piazza Indipendenza onto Via di Santa Caterina d'Alessandria; we're numbers 13-17 on the left-hand side.

    FROM PISA AIRPORT BY BUS:
    There are a number of bus companies offering transfers to Florence – you’ll find them in the arrivals hall. Try to find a bus that takes you to the main station and then follow the directions above.

    FROM PISA AIRPORT BY TRAIN:
    Take the “Pisa Mover” shuttle from the airport to Pisa’s main train station (€ 2.70 one-way); from there, you can catch a train to Florence’s Santa Maria Novella station (€ 8.60 one-way) and then follow the directions above.

  • By bus

    From the bus station exit in Piazzale Montelungo, walk towards Viale Filippo Strozzi and turn left onto the avenue. Continue straight until you reach Piazza Bambini di Beslan, then turn right onto Via della Fortezza. Keep walking until you reach Piazza dell'Indipendenza, cross it, and take Via Nazionale. Walk straight ahead and turn left onto Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria; you’ll find us at numbers 13-17 on the left.

  • By train

    As you exit Santa Maria Novella through the exit next to the pharmacy and exchange bureau, cross at the traffic lights and turn right. Walk towards the McDonald's; turn left at that street with McDonald's on the corner, Largo Fratelli Alinari. Continue up Via Nazionale, straight on up Piazza Indipendenza onto Via di Santa Caterina d'Alessandria; we're numbers 13-17 on the left-hand side. The hostel is 900m from Firenze SMN station.

In summer, take advantage of our outdoor areas, including our poolside bar and our terrace, to connect with other travelers and relax in Florence’s splendid sun. During Winter, Plus Florence also offers travelers an indoor pool and a sauna, so that you can treat yourself well even on chilly days. And after you feel like you’ve checked out all of Florence’s clubs, come back to your home away from home to keep the party going with our on-site DJ set.
